An alternative approach is to use Cdex to rip your books.
This can automatically make a play list of the files you rip. You do not
then have to join the files to have continuous play and you retain the
benefits of easy navigation.

Personally I use an old free program called Sonic Siren to play these sorts
of files. This has the fantastic feature which I have never found in more
modern software players of assuming that the directory you are playing a
file from is the play list. That is if you play a file in a directory it
will by default continue to play the rest of the file in the directory. This
means that by and large never have to bother with play lists. I simply use
windows explorer to navigate to a directory and play a file from there. Very
accessible.

As it is old software it sometimes struggles with modern DRM material but
most of the stuff I play is in basic MP3 anyway. The other drawback is that
the slider for navigating within an MP3 file is not accessible. Apart from
that it is fine with normal menus.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] jaws and acessable software

Hi, all
I am looking for a program that will help me put together my audiobooks that
I rip using window media player. I wanted to be able to have it one long
file instead of several tracks so I can read it. Are any software that will
work with jaws 9?

Kind Regard
Holger Fiallo
