I had to add the "or something" to my subject line because not sure exactly
what's happening on some Web pages. I don't know if a config setting needs to
be made, but on certain pages--such as Amazon's MP3 page or on some radio
stations--it appears that my page is constantly refreshing and out of focus.
For instance, you could be reading a line and then trying to down-arrow to the
next line or link, and it feels like the page is constantly moving and the
cursor just can't keep still or keep up with the constant movements. With the
Amazon example I gave, a sighted friend says this site has a bunch of banner
ads and that's what Jaws may have trouble getting past. And I'm sure that many
radio stations also have their share of advertisements and graphics that make
it impossible to keep Jaws focused on one thing. I know there are settings for
page refresh and ignoring flash on pages, and I did hear that the ignore flash
should be checked instead of unchecked as it is by default--is this true? And
would changing something in the page refresh every combo box help matters such
as these? It almost looks like Jaws appears to have a page ready to view; then
more stuff keeps coming on and it then can't stay on the line it was on. I'm
sure I'm not explaining this well, but have seen this on so many pages now that
it's actually making many sites harder to deal with. Using XP home, Jaws 8 and
Internet Explorer 7. Thanks for any help.
