Mark Make sure you can try before you buy if you want to go with the on-line route. I took an on-line MCAD course (knowledgeNet) and the courseware was completely inaccessible. The 'Office For the Blind' in my state had to hire a reader to assist me through the courses. I earned my certification but not without experiencing a few pitfalls.
Also, you are going to need a reader to take the exams since they are computer administered and there is no way the examiners are going to let you install a screen reader. The one thing you have to consider with on-line courses is that if you get stuck trying to understand a particular concept there will be little if any help available to you. Whichever way you go, pick a course with plenty of practice exams.
