I have changed the subject line. The best way to understand the Jaws cursor is that it is another name for the mouse cursor that sighted people can use. Jaws enables the navigation of this mouse cursor across the screen with the use of the normal arrow cursor keys. If you were sighted you would see the mouse cursor moving around the screen as you used the arrow keys. So when ever you hear jaws cursor think mouse cursor. I have never understood why FS did not call it this in the first place.
As it is the mouse cursor the logical keystroke to use is the left and right mouse click. That is / and * on the NumPad. I think it is Caps lock plus 8 on laptop layout. Alternatively you could use an actual mouse button to provide the clicks needed but you would have to be careful not to move the mouse. The most unintuitive thing about using the jaws/mouse cursor is the restriction settings. I sometimes find when turning on this cursor I find myself stuck in the taskbar for example. I normally press Insert R until I hear unrestricted and go from there. I then set frame and window restriction as needed from there by repeatedly using Insert R. Other people may have other ways of approaching this but I found this works for me. What I don't know, once the routing is done, is whether to press enter, right click, left click or press application key, all of which can be done at one time or another on this program or that one.
