I'm using JAWS 9 and Word 2007. Temp files show up here too. Whenever you work on a Word file, it seems Word creates that temp file. I don't know the reason for it, but it is always there. When I save and exit the file, sometimes the temp file disappears and sometimes it doesn't. I occasionally have to delete some of the temp files manually. I jumped from Word 2000 to 2007, and had the same thing happen in both. However, the problem of getting hung up in Word and having the use the end task option is a new one for me. Sorry I can't help on that., but one thing I've found helpful several times is the Google the problem. Just type in a few words that describe the problem in the Google search box and see what you come up with. Blessings, Tom
