Hi, funnily enough, when I upgraded my dad's desktop to JAWS 9 from JAWS 8 
and when I removed JAWS 8 it left the talking installer for 8. So I figured 
that if I remove the instaler it won't harm his system, and that's what 
it's exactly done, not harmed his system. Although my dad's fully sighted, 
I do work on his PC, hence me putting JAWS on it. Hope that helps.
