Hi Mike,
The save attachments dialogue in Outlook Express,
is much like the file download dialogue in Internet Explorer, in that,
the last folder selected as the target location, becomes the default, until
it is changed.
In either situation, the easiest thing to do, is to designate a default
folder of your own, and then move the files later if necessary.
Example:
Since the default location for attachments is My Documents, create a folder
there, and call it Attachments.
Now, when you save an attachment, make sure you point it to that folder, and
that is where they should go every time.
The same goes for downloading from the internet.
I have a downloads folder, on my C drive, and that is where all downloads go.
I will manually put the downloads where I want them later.
It is easier in my opinion, to do it this way than to browse for the correct
folder each time.
When you get a message with an attachment, you can simply go to the file
menu, and arrow to save attachments,
and then tab thru the dialogue.
Don't worry about shortcut keys now, you can pick them up with time,
it is better to learn where the menu options are, and what is in the
particular dialogue that you are working in.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Saving picture attachments in My documents

Hi All,

I recently had to save some pictures in an attachment from OE to the My
Pictures folder in My Documents. It took me a long time and when I finally
finished I don't know how I got it done. Would someone please tell me a
general set of steps to follow? This way I'll have some directions saved in
case this task comes along again. All help will be greatly appreciated and
stress relieving. Thank you all very much. I am running 2002 XP home, 2002
Office Home, Jaws 9.0.2169, and OE 6.

Mike
