I see. I don't use it myself. Your report lends credence to what I have been hearing from those who've tried the Java Access Bridge with JAWS in more recent times. (There was or may have been a time, a few years ago now, when JAWS and it (version 1.1 or thereabouts) were working well together, with big efforts put in by both Sun Microsystems and FS to make possible the collaboration.)

I recently went to java.sun.com and installed the latest Java Access Bridge 2.0.1 and the Java SE 6 Update 6 (actually, it seems to be version 1.6_6 or something. Sun version numbers always confused me.) I installed these and tried to run the sample applications. It didn't seem to work. I was installing this in the hope that some Java apps I encounter on the web would work and maybe be accessible. When I go to dslreports.com to run the Java speed test I can't find the "start" button and the browser crashes or JAWS loses focus.
