I guess every computer is different.  I have not experienced most of the
problems you are, but one thing I have noticed with the new version is that when
you load a web page it automatically finds the form field and turns forms mode
on.  I don't always want to be in the edit field but I hit the PC cursor and it
goes off and then all is well.  I notice that some of the pages that couldn't be
read by Firefox very well can be now.  I just wish that I could read the artist
performing on the XM player with Firefox like I can with IE, but I am still
going to use Firefox as my default browser and IE secondary..
