Hi,

Try these steps, perhaps it might help.
1. Open your excel file as 2007.
2. Press ctrl + s and in the save as type combo box, arrow down once to reach 
"macro-enabled" excel.
3. Press ok.
4. Now try to hide or unhide the columns.
