Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Using cross-sheet references in Excel with
Jaws

Hello robin,

The easiest way to do it is to use the paste special function. Simply
copy the cell with the formula in the sheet or workbook being linked to,
move to where you want the result to appear in the other workbook or
worksheet, and use the paste link command in the paste special dialog
box. To do that press Alt-E to bring up the edit menu. Use down arrow
to move to the "paste special" choice and press enter. Use Alt-L to
activate the "paste link"
choice. The formula will now be linked to the cell you copied in the
other workbook or worksheet and will change when the original one
changes.

You can write the formula in the second workbook or worksheet by using
opening single quotation marks around the workbook and worksheet names,
but if there are spaces in the worksheet name then you will have to use
square brackets as well, there will be an exclamation mark necessary and
you will need to use absolute references. If you need a lesson on this
subject I can send you one off list. However, I think the use of the
paste link function is the easiest for you to use.

Take care.

Brian Lee
