Hi,

Not sure. But for the moment, there's a free, open source multiprotocol 
messenger that, I've heard works well with jaws, but the only experience 
I've had with it has been in a jaws tandem session. Although I have heard it 
on skype, there's a really cool plugin that will automatically read incoming 
messages, contacts status and other things. For the messenger, check out 
miranda-im.org. If I got the address wrong, google miranda IM and you should 
find it.
