Hi,
I have to disagree with you. The Jaws Scripting at Freelist.org is a
good starting point to learn scripting. There are professional people
who knows how to script, and there are intermediate and beginners
there too. Everyone is there to help a beginner and if you have any
questions while learning, they can help you in case you don't
understand something or help you debug your script if it does not
compile successfully.
I was a beginner too and I still am, but I was able to write simple
scripts and some of them would not have worked if it wasn't for the
help from that list. I particularly needed a script for a one of my
program that would not have functioned correctly without it.
Give it a chance and if you feel that is not the way to go, you can
always unsubscribe.
