Perhaps, in a perfect world, the "forms mode" sounds are unnecessary. Personally, I find them reassuring! One example for me is in Firefox 3.0.3, JAWS 10 does not always announce "edit" when entering an edit field. I think this is a bug, but I am glad for the feedback for now! Besides, you can turn it off if you get tired of it.
