You need a small program called OE tune. If memory serves it's $10 and it doesn't even take an install. Try doing a search for it.

Hi All,

I forgot to include that I assigned the sound to the particular folder
through the dictionary manager. If this was the wrong way to do this task
would someone give me a kick in the right direction, please? Thanks again.

Mike

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Assigning a sound to a folder

Hi All,

I have assigned a sound to a folder in Outlook Express but, the only way I
can get the sound to work is doing a say title keystroke, insert + t, once I
have opened the folder, or if I press shift + tab to go to another folder.
If I arrow through my folder list, when I get to the folder with the sound
assigned to it Jaws says blank. Is there a way to make the sound work each time I come to this folder without having to open it first? I am running XP
& Office Home, OE 6, Jaws 9 & 10. I hope that I've explained myself
clearly. All help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks much. Take care.

Mike
