Donny, the free home edition won't allow scheduled scanning anyway. I can't
remember how you do a manual scan since I don't use it anymore; I use AVG 8
Free instead both on my physical and virtual machines.

My sighted cousin installed Avast for me. It seems to be doing it's thing
at all times. Do I need
to schedule it for regular scans? Or, is it doing what it is supposed to

Sorry for such vague and simple questions, but I have never used this
