Hi Mike,
When you open a file in My Documents, you are actually opening the program
associated with that file tyope, such as Word, for a .doc.
So, if you want a sound to be played when you close a document for instance, you would have to choose the close program
event in Windows sounds.
Unfortunately, that will apply to every program closing.
I suppose it would be possible, to write a short script in each application
to have Jaws play a sound file when that particular event is triggered,
but that could get quite involved.
No other options come to mind right now.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] sound for documents

Hi All,

If I want to make a sound for opening & closing documents in My Documents,
how would I do this? I have looked on the Sounds Page and there is opening
& closing programs, but not documents. All help will be greatly
appreciated. Thanks much. Take care.

Mike
