Hi Sue. It seams to be a setting, that is'nt enabled, that perform's the ocr and makes the text readable in the document. As it is, it is a picture that has been scanned into the document, and Jaws is'nt able to read a picture, even it only is text in it. So try to go to the menu bar, and find the Omnipage menu, and scroll down to Acquire Text Settings, and press enter. Now there opens a great dialog box with several tabs, and recently you should find what you are looking for om the ocr tab and the Process tab and the Direct Ocr tab.
Hope you will get lucky with this project. Omnipage SE means Special Edition that specially is designed to follow with this scanner.
