Ah come on!
All kinds of people offer a service on this list. It is the purpose of the
list isn't it? Aren't you and your moderators providing a service? don't you
offer assistance and advice all the time?
Admittedly recording analog to digital music isn't exactly Jaws related
except that most all of the subscribers to this list use Jaws to access the
facilities of their computers and being blind aren't in a position to just
order the appropriate equipment and software with any certainty it will meet
their needs or be useable by them as sighted people might reasonably expect
when they buy the same equipment all of which probably makes the topic very
Jaws related after all.
There are USB record players out there too for recording vinyl analog
records to digital directly. They and the cassette players convert the
analog signals to digital before feeding them through the USB port.
I would be interested to know if they use their own software to create the
computer files and, if the tape or record players are controlled by the
computer, that is, turned on and off in response to the software, all that
stuff. Does Jaws recognize the interface and controls?
Now if the fellow with this equipment would be so kind as to contact me off
list to discuss these and probably other topics around the subject I would
be very much obliged.

Dan is quite correct, I do it with gold wave but this all started sounding
like somebody wanted to start providing a service.

It isn't too difficult to just use a patch cord to connect a tape player
to your PC, and use a simple recording program to rip the cassettes to
digital audio.
