It's great, but I think the price is more like $5800. My work got me a Focus 40 from Freedom Scientific. Their displays are, by far, the least expensive, but you get what you pay for. Right after the warranty expired, cells started going bad. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford the cost of a PMA.

It is the smallest 40 cell display I have found, 12.2 inches, by 2.9 inches, by 0.8 inches thick. And, although not the lightest, it is pretty light at 1.2 pounds. I like the size, and that it is bluetooth as well as USB. Hard to believe, but they say it gets 25 hours on bluetooth or 100 hours on USB. I've not gotten my hands on one, but I know the guy at Blind and Vision Rehab Services of Pittsburgh who is in charge of their technology division and he says it feels like a solid unit and he has had no specific troubles with it. There are plenty of other displays out there as well. I think the Brailliant 40 sells for $4800. They also have a 24, 32, 64, and 80 cell version. -- Blue skies. Dan Rossi Carnegie Mellon University.
