If all you hear when pressing the up or down arrows is a boing, that
probably means that your browser has closed for some reason. Press the JAWS
Key and T to confirm if this is the case. Also check if you are working off
line.
Sometimes your firewall, if you have one installed, may stop your browser
from accessing the web. I have had this happen before. JAWS does not tell
you when these alert messages pop up. You have to tab through your open
applications to see if it is there.
If none of these strategies work, try restarting your computer. This has
cleared up numerous problems for me.

Pattie, What version of jaws are you using? It seems to work ok for me
with
jaws 9. It's not great, but it's ok. I can read the weather forecast and
stuff.
