Hello Flor,
Where would I find the checkbox to change the splash screen? I didn't know about that.
Take care,
Lisa

Hello,
What version of NOD32 will these keystrokes work for?
Take care,

Nod32 is 'built' on tree views. The F5 key makes the interface
accessible. You then do much tabbing and control-tabbing. One of the
things you do is change the checkbox that has to do with the splash screen
at start-up, so it won't come on and get in the way. In its help system,
as
with any other help, you use F6 to navigate between the topic and text
panes. It's a nice program, and also runs some inbuilt protection from
spyware. It may take you a little while to get used to it.

I just haven't had the time to look into Nod32 yet. I'm assuming it is
JAWS
friendly?

I'll try to get to it today and see what the site says.

Did you hava
e a nice thanksgiving?

I do know a guy who's opinion caries some wait with me and he likes nod 32
very much but personally I have not experienced using the program. I'll
ask
him how much it does cost for sure but I don't believe it is very much.

David, I have used AVG and am now using Avast. Both of these are the
free
programs.

I liked AVG because it automatically scanned my computer at a scheduled
time, but I was amazed to find out when i installed and ran a scan with
Avast that my computer had a virus and malware that AVG and my anti spy
programs didn't pick up.

Avast has picked up malware in a few scans, so I know it's more efficient
than AVG, at least in my opinion.

The thing I don't like about Avast is that I have to manually initiate a
scan. It's not a big deal, but sometimes I get caught up in other things
and I just don't think to run the thing.

I am thinking of looking into Nod32. Do you know anything about this
software? Is it friendly with JAWS? i know it isn't free, but do you
know
how much it costs?

So now I gave you some answers and some questions. it will be
interesting
to see what others have to say about this.

Here of late I'm pondering my choice to go with avast instead of staying
with AVG that I used for 2 years. Although AVG had a few false positives
avast has had more in the past 6 months or so than AVG did in to years.
Yes
at the time there was a major issue with AVG 8 but FS has done something
on
their end to repair what the AVG people broke if I understand things
correctly. I'm looking for feedback and opinions especially if anybody
out
there has used both products over the years. I could go back to AVG easy
enough but I am also considering some other folks who tend to follow my
guidance because I do not want to steer them wrong either.
