Hi kimmer, Avast only scans the computer manually. It's not real hard to do it though and I don't think you'll have any issues doing so. Be aware that you still have all the real time protection in place so you don't really need to scan the entire computer all that often. If you want to scan a file you've downloaded simply press your application key on the file and arrow down to scan with avast.
