Hi Kate,

if an MP3 file opens in your browser window, depending on the plugin that actually plays the MP3, it is perfectly natural that pages may come up blank. MP3s simply have no HTML content to display in the virtual buffer. Some plugins such as the Apple QuickTime one usually put at least a title into the page when they play media content, but others may not do that.

I'm using jaws 9 and it tends to happen on pages that I believe have links to
audio content... I think they are just links to MP3 content, though. Its not
some sketchy site or anything, it's a medical transcription website.

Hi Kate,

Which version of JAWS are you using? And does it happen on any specific
pages, or random ones?

Does anyone else using firefox 3 ever run into a problem when clicking through
to another page, where the browser comes up, jaws speaks how many links and
headings are on the page, but jaws then acts as though the page is blank if you
try to navigate the page. There are no error messages that come up when I run
into this problem so I don't know if its just jaws that semi-crashes or what. I
always just shut the browser and restart it, but this happens more frequently
than I would like it to happen and didn't know if there was a way to fix it
without closing the browser altogether. If I save and quit firefox I reopen the
browser and it doesn't help. Quitting without saving does.

Thanks,
Kate
