Has anyone ever used an Excel spreadsheet that has been encrypted and password protected? I have financial spreadsheets that I have used for years that I thought would be smart to protect from prying eyes. I used the "encrypt document" option in the "prepare" submenu in Office 2007. I have created an encrypted XLS file and an XLSX file that is in XML format. All of this works great. But, if I press F2 on a cell, JAWS 9 or 10 can not read anything! If I type in something or change the cell contents and press Enter, the contents is changed. FS Tech Support was not able to help and suggested there was not a problem with any other users. They recommended that I uninstall and reinstall MS Office. Since MS Office was preinstalled on this computer and I don't readily know where the CD might be, I simply performed a repair and then changed the Office components and right clicked on the top level of the tree and selected "run all from my computer". This did not, as I suspected, solve the problem. Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas how to fix this?
