How did you look for it? Since you are using Outlook Express, it is not possible that you do not have a Tools menu. In a new message, or in a reply message, or in a message under composition by you - which are also the circumstances where F7 will activate the desired spell checker - press the alt key, and then right-arrow until you get to tools. Now down-arrow once. If you have a spell-checker installed, you will hear it spoken, and the keystroke - F7. If you do not have one installed, it will probably be 'unavailable'. It is important, when you ask questions of the list, to give as much information as possible about your query, so that the answers can more readily be based on fact rather than supposition. Do you have Microsoft Word installed? If you don't, then you may not have a spell checker at the moment. But, look for it in the specified manner first. If you do, the spell checker should answer to the steps outlined.
