Actually I turned off the feature that automatically opens form fields.
Life is just about back to normal now.

I'm using JAWS 10 with I.E. 6 and have not had any problem except for
getting used to how JAWS 10 handles automatically changing to Forms mode
when your cursor lands on an edit field.
