Many years ago when I had more sight then I do now, I used the spreadsheet in Appleworks to create Flow charts. I had one sheet where I stored groups of 9 cells that had symbols stored in the 8 perimeter cells. These symbols in combination would make up a visual representation of the different shapes to be used in the flow chart. I would store the name of that shape in the center cell. I would then copy the group of cells as needed into a new spreadsheet, and replace the contents of the center cell with my content for my flow chart. When I was done and printed it out, I would view it under the CCTV to see where I needed to make adjustments.
I did not have the prettiest flow charts, but it got the message across. After I would show or explain to my professors how I was making the flow charts, they were very understanding over the look. But now I do not have sight to view my work, and I do not think my co-workers would go for that odd look. The office is not willing to purchase MS-Project, so it looks like I will have to resort to dictating my information to a reader who understands flow charting. I also need to know how to do this for my college course, as yet I've not found a solution. sorry I cant help any further. it's very frustrating not being able to create these charts.
