I have just checked in Outlook 2003, you can also do "Control & E" from your main contacts list and then type in the name and hit enter to quickly select it - don't know if it is going to work in 2007 though.

Hello, I'm a prime supporter of Microsoft outlook 2007. The only thing that drives me up the wall is in the contacts, you are not able to do first letter navigation to get to a contacts name. Can someone tell me what is the fastest way to get to a contacts name without having to arrow all the way down?
