Hi Al,

I am able to keep certain cookies that I don't want CCleaner to remove. I'll try to explain how to do this as best as I can. It will involve the Jaws cursor. Open CCcleaner and tab to the option button.

1. Hit the spacebar on the option button.

2. , Using the Jaws cursor, arrow up until you can left mouse click on the cookie button.

3. You will need to tab until you come to a list of cookies to be deleted.

(Now here is the hard part. Perhaps, someone has a better way of doing this.)

4. Arrow down through the list of cookies until you find one that you want to keep.

5. Root jaws to PC on the cookies

6. Using Ctrl+JawsKey+left mouse, you are going to drag that cookie.

7. Right arrow to the cookies to keep column. To do this, to put the PC cursor on and drop the cookie in place with the Ctrl+JawsKey+left mouse.

You have to find where the cookies to keep column. I can find it easy enough since I already have cookies in there. For the first time, I don't remember how you will determine if you are in the right place to drop the cookie that you want to keep.

I know that this may sound confusing, but I found this method accidentally, but it works for me. I am like you, I have to keep my banking cookies otherwise when I log on, without the cookie, I have to start from the beginning to get into my account.

Let me know if you need further assistance with this. I wish there was (maybe there is one) a better way to do this and I miss it.

Lennie

Chris,

Have you found a way to use C Cleaner to only remove "junk type" cookies
without removing the ones that hold info you continue to need (i.e. certain
security registrations, log in info, etc) Last time I used it my system
worked great but my banking sites, credit card sites etc I had to re
register etc because they no longer recognized my computer as the tracking
cookies etc were deleted.

thanks,
Al

I use cCleaner (www.ccleaner.com). It's free, fully accessible, and also
cleans your junk as well as the registry.
