It's actually a really handy tool for those who are new to Jaws. Learning
what edit fields are, and how they work is something that can be tricky for
newcomers to screen readers, especially on websites. I'm just grateful that
I have the option to turn it off.

Hi,
I am still using Jaws 9, thank goodness, but one thing I do to be sure I am
not accidentally pressing enter on something instead of entering forms mode
is that I use the Jaws left mouse click to enter forms mode. Then I am not
in danger of being whisked some place I don't want to be. I then use the PC
cursor to get out of forms mode.
If I am not sure whether I am in forms mode or not I press the PC cursor key
and then the left mouse click key. to enter forms mode.
I find using the Jaws left mouse click very satisfactory. I have not tried
it with the demo version of Jaws 10 I installed, however. After hearing all
the bugs in Jaws 10 I have no intention of ever "upgrading" to it if it can
really be called an upgrade. Why would anyone deliberately ask for more
problems?

Thanks for your help on this one.
I didn't realize that was a new feature.
Blessings,
Tom
