Kliph, As someone who has done the very thing you want to do, I can tell you that you will need to have someone there with sight. And if you have your Windows CD, it reformats the drive before it starts reinstalling the operating system. Just make sure that you've backed up everything you want to save. Because once you start to reinstall Windows, everything on the drive will be gone. With my other computer, I had a floppy drive that had a winnt.SIF file on it. This had all the instructions on it for installing Windows XP. As Windows was being installed, it would look to the floppy drive for all the installation instructions. But you still needed sighted help with some of it. In short, don't try this on your own.
