Hi,

I just had a look and ...

Open the Jaws menu (JawsKey + J

Arrow down to Utilities and whack Enter.

Arrow down once to Synthesizer and braille and whack Enter again.

There is a tree view. You can modify braille devices there. The PackMate is the first one there, you can apparently add, remove and I think modify it and many many others.

Hope this helps, I think you can disable it there and if not maybe you are expected to connect the display before booting up or maybe you have to repair your Jaws installation and include the braille display in the set-up to get the drivers for it loaded.

As I remember my brief assessment it is pretty cool, scrolling about in braille..

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Jfw bootup problem

When jaws 10 boots up, I get a "ding" and the following message"
"unable to load braille driver" and the good ole trusty OK button.
Any ideas about what I can do about that annoyance????
Thanks in advance.

P.s. I think that auto forms mode was a stroke of brilliance on the part of F.S.
I love it! It rocks (grin)
