Hi,
I agree with your response , except you do not need to use the control and
alt keys, just the "A" key. I found that hitting the apply key first and
then the okay key seems to work.

Try focusing on the Jaws Icon on your desktop, press
alt+enter and hit the tab key until you hear "Jaws Hotkey
None." at that point press ALT+CTRL+A, tab until you hear
exit or close or whatever it is that gets you out of that
dialog.
Hint, once you are back on your desktop, reopen the dialog
with ALT+ENTER tab through all of the selections and make
sure your new hotkey installed.

Hi all,
I wiped out the control-alt-j to start JAWS 7 and now I'm
trying to set it
up for JAWS 9 and it won't take control-alt-j. I am going to
JAWS in the
JAWS submenu and using the context menu to go to properties
because if I use
alt-enter it takes me to info about the taskbar settings,
etc. Any ideas?
