Ann, Have you tried all of the normal stuff? Refreshing the screen, zoom set to something less than 100%, maximizing both window and application with alt+spacebar and alt+dash? Have you tried changing the view between print and normal to see if that makes a difference? Maybe this is just another of those no cost extras complements of Freedom Scientifics. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Riley Blake Sent: Monday, March 16, 2009 10:21 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS10 speaking every letter twice in Word 2000
I don't think I've had that issue, but I could check and find out. Have you checked any of your JAWS verbosity settings? -----Original Message----- From: Ann Byrne <[email protected]> Sent: March 16, 2009 10:01 To: [email protected] Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS10 speaking every letter twice in Word 2000 When I move character-by-character in Word 2000, JAWS10 is speaking each character twice, including space and punctuation. Is this an undocumented feature of the upgrade? How can I get back to speaking a single character at a time??? thanks a bunch, Ann Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [email protected] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [email protected] Use the following address in order to contact the management team [email protected] If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: [email protected] Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [email protected] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [email protected] Use the following address in order to contact the management team [email protected] If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: [email protected] -- BEGIN-ANTISPAM-VOTING-LINKS ------------------------------------------------------ Teach InfoWest Spam Trap if this mail (ID 252028127) is spam: Spam: https://spamtrap.infowest.com/canit/b.php?i=252028127&m=4b51 aac2a7f7&c=s Not spam: https://spamtrap.infowest.com/canit/b.php?i=252028127&m=4b51 aac2a7f7&c=n Forget vote: https://spamtrap.infowest.com/canit/b.php?i=252028127&m=4b51 aac2a7f7&c=f REMEMBER: Never give out your account information, password, or other personal information over e-mail. ------------------------------------------------------ END-ANTISPAM-VOTING-LINKS Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [email protected] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [email protected] Use the following address in order to contact the management team [email protected] If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: [email protected]
