Hello, give these steps a try;

1. Press insert+6 on the number row=jaws configuration manager.
Or, you could press, insert+F2, and down arrow until you hear jaws
configuration manager, pressing enter here.

2. Press ctrl+shift+d= default file.

3. Press alt+S= set options menu.

4. Press the letter M=speech&sounds manager options.

5. Tab and press enter on the edit current scheme button.

6. Ctrl+Tab=ctrl type tab.

7. Press the letter R in the list-view until you hear read-only edit.

8. Tab to the set of radio-buttons and down-arrow until you hear, radio
button for ignore.

9. Tab and press enter on the okay-button.

10. Tab again pressing enter on the okay-button.

11. Now press enter on yes to save the changes to the sound scheme.

12. Press alt+F4 to leave configuration-manager and enter on yes to
save the changes.

I hope this helps.
I no this works for Outlook express, so, I assume it will work for
MSOutlook.

You need the remote plug-in for it to use remote access, and that
only works on jaws pro.

Your friend should go to address book under tools and enter. It will tell that there is a list of addresses. She should enter. Then go back to the file menu and arrow down once to new contact and enter. She will then add
the address. If she wants to add sender to her address book, she should
return to tools and arrow to add sender and hit enter. marilyn

In most cases, you are better off going to the hardware mfg site and
downloading the latest drivers. The approach I take is that if it's not
broke, don't fix it. Of course, that philosophy does not apply to critical
Windows updates.

I just went to windows updates and found 6 hardware updates for my machine.
There were some for my video card, sound card, printer drivers and
processor.
I selected all and left it install.
When it restarted my system there was no sound. If my wife were not here I
would have been in a big mess. When she came to look there was a screen
about freedom scientific video intercept. There was a place for her to
install. After a long time it finally restarted with sound. Even the
windows
startup music was missing.
I am running xp home sp3, the newest build of jaws.
After this I would not recommend video or sound driver updates without
sighted assistance.

Hello,I would also be interested if anyone has found a solution for this. I
have been experiencing this problem since JAWS 9. When I called tech
support about this they could not figure out what was wrong. I experience
this problem in any microsoft application. Including IE or any of the
office programs. It does not seem to occur in any program developed by any
other companies.
Sincerely,

Hi,

When I navigate in word and outlook, they are the two office programs I
use,
I have noticed that when I navigate by word or character, Jaws double
speaks.

Has anyone had this problem?

I am using the latest build of Jaws 10 on Windows Vista.

Thanks.
