If you have comments or suggestions pertaining to the list, this is not the place to post them This is something that should be sent to the list owner. There are several moderators on this list, and we will handle postings as they are set forth in the list guidelines. I suggest that everyone read the guidelines, and familiarize themselves with them, especially the one aimed at a list member telling another member how to post. As I said, there are several moderators on this list, , so let us do our job. Although it may not seem to be in a timely manner that suits everyone, ill-postings will be taken care of. Thank you's are a show of appreciation, and common courtesy, and I'm sure that David will address this. In the meantime, let's take this off-list, it's not the place to debate this topic. Good evening, First, I think that this is an excellent list with excellent members providing great advice and assistance to others. Great job everyone! I understand that this is a very high traffic list and that's why it is prone to annoy me so much. Can I suggest a couple of things that will cause it to annoy me, and perhaps others, less. 1. Do not post "thank you". Hopefully people will understand that you are appreciative for their assistance. 2. Read * ALL * of your inbox messages before answering a question. This avoids 10 of the same answers to the same problem. 3. Please, please, post your operating system, JAWS version and the version of any program you are having trouble with along with your problem. This will help people to provide you with the best advice on how to solve your problem and will not result in a message, or 10, asking for the information. If you aren't sure if the information will be helpful then add it just in case. We all, myself included, break these simple rules once in a while, but if we all try a bit harder than the list will be more efficient and you will likely get faster and more accurate answers to your questions. Thanks in advance from someone who gets 400 messages a day, many of which are unnecessary, Everett Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [email protected] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [email protected] Use the following address in order to contact the management team [email protected] If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: [email protected] Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Visit the Blind Computing home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] To post to this group, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [email protected] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [email protected] Use the following address in order to contact the management team [email protected] If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: [email protected]
