I was on the Jaws list home page today. I didn't open the files, but I did
see files relating to these concepts.

Have you tried lookng these concepts up in the JAWS Help Topics? There
should be an overview of each in the help system.
You can access Help Topics by:
1. JAWSKey + J to open the JAWS menu
2. Select the Help menu item
3. Select the JAWS Help Topics menu item.
