I use ie 7 as well and it works just fine.

In IE7, I use Alt-D to take me to and highlight the address bar
and then Alt-C to copy it, and Alt-V to paste it into my message.
Maybe that will work in IE8, too.

If I wanted to send the address to someone in an email as a link
I've always used f6 but with IE8 this no longer seems to work
does anybody have an idea what key to use instead?
