Hello Riana,

Windows Media Player 11 only burns data DVDS. Files are only copied and not converted into the file formats required for playing a DVD movie in most stand-alone DVD players. It can certainly be used for backup or storage but it doesn't encode and burn a DVD that will play in most DVD players. In other words, there is no DVD authoring with Windows Media Player and only data DVDS can be created.

Windows media player version 11 can also burn dvd's and you basically
use the same method than when burning cd's. It just takes longer.

Hello chase,

DVDFlick is a good DVD authoring and burning tool for many video file
types
including QuickTime .MOV files. A few weeks ago, I recorded an audio
file
to show how the program can be used with JAWS. Although controls are
not
easily accessed using the PC cursor, they can be quite easily used by
using
the JAWS cursor and simulating mouse clicks. I have put the audio file
that
I recorded for a couple other people on the list along with the version
of
DVDFlick that I use in a zip file on SendSpace. If you want to try it
out
then the link to the page where the file can be downloaded is shown
below.
The audio step-by-step file was done without much preparation, but I
think
you will be able to follow it okay. Feel free to contact me at my
E-mail
address below if I can give you any more info about using DVDFlick.
Here is
the link:

Take care.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] .mov DVD burner?

Hi all,
I have some movies that I would like to burn to a DVD. The movies are
in
a .mov quick time format. Is there any programs that will work well
with
JFW 10.0.1142 that will burn this type of movie?
Thanks,

Regards,
