Hello JAWS users!

I'm in a pickle and need some help. I use JAWS version 9. I work for a
government agency and we recently started using Microsoft Office 2007. I
have been using the basic-intermediate functions of Excel and the basics of
Access for many years. As you may know, the look and functions in Office
2007 have changed considerably. I have asked my employer to provide
one-on-one training for me in the new functions (and older ones that I
didn't know). I had one training session last week and it was a difficult
experience. JAWS did not reada number of functions logically or completely,
if at all.

I need to find some training materials, classes, or individuals that can
help me use JAWS with the intermediate-advanced functions of Excel and the
basics-intermediate functions of Access. I've contacted people I know and
have looked on the Internet. I was excited to see that Easter Seals in
Indiana offered such training; (so their website said), but then no class
information was provided on their website. This was the only helpful thing
I could find.

I have gone to the Freedom Scientific website and have combed through all
the Help menus on my version of JAWS. There is no mention of, or short cut
keys for, the functions I want to use. Freedom Scientific does not provide
in-depth training on any MS Office application and it looks like there is no
such training guides that you could obtain from them.

I know that someone might be able to write some scripts for me, but why
reinvent the wheel? Surely I'm not the only person in the world who uses
JAWS and wants to access all the functions of Excel and Access 2007.
Someone out there somewhere must have experienced this problem. I am
willing to teach myself if I have the proper materials and I might be able
to go to a class anywhere in the USA if it will provide me with the training
I need. I can provide examples of the things JAWS doesn't read well, but
that might be quite a list. Also, I'm sure there are functions I haven't
even tried that JAWS won't read either. But, for example, the Pivot Table
function in Excel and the import external data functions in Access.

I really enjoy using Excel and Access and was excited about the prospect of
learning these applications more in-depth from an experienced trainer.
However, if JAWS doesn't work properly, then I'm stuck not being able to use
the applications. If I can't access the functions I've been using in
earlier versions of Office, my job performance will either suffer or my job
responsibilities might need to change. I don't want to see that happen.

Thank you for any suggestions or referrals you might be able to provide.
