My computer has been at the computer surgery for over a week. It has been
returned, but my word! aren't I having problems trying to work out just what
is going on. I am waiting for a call from the junior computer doctor but you
know what it is like trying to get the doc to pay a house call these days.
When the machine left here, it was running XP Home, but returned with XP
Professional in the saddle. My screen reader is JFW5.10.
My major problem is that when I open an email, before it starts to read the
message, Jaws reads the contents of the menu bar: that is:
file--edit--help--forward--reply etc. Something must be turned on, but being a
computer clutz, I haven't the remotest idea what it can be.
Also Jaws keeps saying start and it only seems to read part of the message if
it is over more than a few lines in length.
