Is that not different with jaws 10  now? Not sure.

Well, your problem is a simple one. jaws sees your phone as a second sound
card device. Sense it is plugged into the USB port. the reason you can hear
jaws except when on a call is, because the phone is only active when using
skipe.
The fix for this is to tell jaws to use your sound card in the jaws.ini file
sense you are using xp.
You will find the fix and the reason why jaws does what it does with your
phone.
