Hello Steve,
Sometimes when removing programs all the references to it in the windows
registry are not removed. A registry cleaner will go in and look at the
registry to see if there are any references like this. These left overs
from programs yoy have uninstalled can cause havoc with a computer if not
cleaned out every so often. You also might want to try and defrag your hard
drive as well. Sometimes all the files of a program are not in the same
places on your hard drive and this can cause your computer not to perform as
well as it could. To get to the defrag option on your pc:
1. open your start menu.
2. Go to all programs.
3. Arrow through untill you here accessiries.
4. Once in accessiries arrow down until you here system tools.
5. Once here arrow around until you here the option for disk defrag.
Hope this info was helpful,
Greg W.

Hello Steve,
You might want to run a registry cleaner on your system. You can get a
free one that works well with jaws called CCleaner. Just google it and
you should be able to find it very easily.
Sincerely,
Greg W.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS vs. Windows
Hi All,
I'm new on the list. I'm using JAWS 6.1 Home with XP home edition. I
also run Kurzweil 1000 on the same machine. I've been having all kinds
of problems lately. I'm considering an upgrade to JAWS 10.0 but need to
find and sort out my troubles first. Many times when I load JAWS I get a
window pop up saying,"application file for JAWS dialogue", asking if I
would like to send an error report. I usually say no and it goes away
and all seems fine. Then there are times that when I unload JAWS with
Insert and F4, it will keep talking after hitting the enter key and the
computer is half frozen afterwards sometimes taking amanual shutdown to
get things going again. I've already run a repair with my JAWS program
disc. I'm at a real loss here and would love to hear any advice I can
get. Thanks in advance.
Steve
