Hi Yvonne,

A quicker way to check your version of IE is, while in IE press the key
combination of Jaws/insert, control, & V keys. Also, if you don't like IE 8
you can uninstall it through the control panel and if you do uninstall IE 8
it will automatically revert back to IE 7. Take care.
Mike

Hi yvonne,
To find out what version of IE you are using:
Open internet explorer, hit alt to get to the menu, arrow
right until you hear 'help'. arrow down to 'about internet
explorer'..
There you should hear what your currently installed version
is. it requires some up harrowing if I remember right to get
it to read all the info in that window.
Regards
chrissy'

Hi Yvonne,
There are some terms being interchanged here, that shouldn't
be, to avoid
confusion.
1. Windows, refers to the operating system installed on your
computer.
There are many different versions of Windows, such as XP and
Vista.
And to further complicate things the version of Windows
currently in beta is
called Windows 7.
2. Internet Explorer, commonly referred to as I E,is an
internet browser,
used for accessing the internet.
There are several versions of I E, such as versions 6, 7 and
8.
Version 8, is the latest version.
3. Outlook Express, commonly referred to as O E, is an
e-mail client, used
for sending and receiving e-mail messages.
As Flor stated earlier, there is no version higher than 6,
because Microsoft
changed it and gave it another name.
