Hello Francis,

One quick way to insert a horizontal line in Word 2007 is to type four or five dashes or underlines on a blank line and then press the enter key. This produces a bottom paragraph border that appears just like a horizontal line. You could then write a macro and assign a keystroke to the process. It sure seems to me that there use to be a keystroke for inserting a horizontal line in Word but I can't find it. Perhaps it was a different program I'm thinking about that had the keystroke. You could also add the bottom border as a quick part and use it like autotext, but just typing four or five dashes or underlines and then an enter key is a fairly quick way to insert a line.

Take care.
