Hello George, It's not only the latest update of jaws 10 that has this focus problem, I've experienced this since the initial jaws 10.
It does seem to help a little if one turns the automatic forms mode off, which is enabled per default in jaws 10. Also, whenever I write a lengthy message in outlook, jaws 10 at some point starts not to give the usual quick response on my typing which is set to words and then says it has encountered an application error and has to close. Then I have to restart to get speech back again as unloading and loading it to memory, doesn't help. Luckily this is not on my primary pc, on which I still have jaws 9. I'm nervous to install jaws 9 on the notebook, as I don't know whether or how the ilm authorisation would react, as jaws 9 has never been authorized for this particular notebook. I've also installed the latest jaws 10 update on this notebook yesterday, but the error still occurred when writing outlook messages yesterday evening. I went back to version 9 for email. Does anyone have a fix for these problems? Thanks, George R.
