Hello group,
here's a strange one. We use Jaws 10 and a program called Reflection at FedEx.
Jaws 10 was only recently installed. Up till about a month ago, we were using
Jaws 6.0 and there was no problem. Let me take you through the scenario and
any help would be most welcome.

EQUIPMENT:
HP desktop with 3 gigabytes of RAM.
Sound Max Sound Card,
Windows XP Pro,
Reflection software, (an emulator program which works with our main frame)

PROBLEM:
We use the Copy and paste function to transfer data from one location to
another. The information appears in fields which are restricted but act like a
word when it comes to copying and pasting.
We move to the information which is an account number, press Alt Control M
which is a hotkey that routes the PC cursor to the Invisible Cursor. All of
our reading scripts use the Invisible Cursor.
We then press Left Shift Right Arrow to highlight the account number.
Normally, when you do that, Jaws reads the highlighted text. But for some
reason, Jaws 10 reads anything but the highlighted information.

I tried pressing Control C and then moved to another screen. When I pasted
using Control V, the information was there so that part of the sequence is
working.

QUESTION: Can anyone explain why Jaws 10 isn't reading the highlighted text?

I realize that this is really off of the wall but there are a lot of talented
people on this list including our moderators. There are two of us at FedEx who
are working this particular job.

This may be part of the same problem. On another screen, you will find phone
numbers which are divided by half spaces. With Jaws 6, when we pressed Left
Shift Right Arrow, the entire phone number was read and highlighted. Now, only
the first group is copied. I'm not sure whether the entire number is
highlighted but I don't think so and Jaws doesn't speak the numbers at all.
I have to tell you it's driving us batty.

Thanks for any help you can give in advance.
