Not sure about Word 2003, but I believe you go into view menu and then arrow
down to headers and footers and you can then read the header and footer
information within your document.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] How to insert a footer using Jaws and Word 2007
Hi all,
I have found where the options is to insert a footer in the menus, and I
hit
Enter for blank footer and then type what I want into the footer, but then
I'm not sure what to do from there. Do I hit Escape? I tried that, and I
am
taken back to the document. How am I suppose to know if the footer
actually
worked? I don't seem to find it anywhere in the document when I read it.
Thanks for any help,
Take care,
Liz
