Hi Everett,
I now have that problem with the virtual buffer in both Firefox 3 and
Internet Explorer 7. Last month I had to revert back two releases of JAWS
10 latest back to 10.0.512. The two latest releases were unstable (JAWS
would crash) and it would cause a system beep when moving up and down in
certain lists. Unfortunately, one list was in the Verizon application for
which I wrote scripts and another was the list of FS available updates. The
strange thing is it only affected my account! All other accounts on my
computer work properly. I have removed all FS products, deleted all
remnants in Program Files and User settings, removed FS/HJ junk from the
registry which FS Tech Support Escalation recommended, and reinstalled the
latest release. Even immediately after installing JAWS, with no personal
settings or scripts, the problem returned! Nothing solved the problem, so I
am currently stuck with 10.0.512 and a virtual buffer problem! The FS Tech
Support Escalation specialist was stumped. Does anyone have an idea of an
account setting or registry entry that might have been left over after that
process?

Good evening,
Upgrading from JAWS 10.0.512 to JAWS 10.0.1151 seemed to correct the
problems for me.
Thanks,
Everett

Hi Everett,
I remember having seen this in the initial release of 10.0.512, but have
not encountered it ever since the update to 10.0.1139 or the later ones
came out.

Good evening,
I, and a few others, are experiencing two problems with JAWS 10 and
Firefox 3. The problem is that frequently during browsing certain
sites the JAWS virtual buffer will be empty after a page has loaded.
Pressing Insert + Z a couple of times will sometimes resolve the issue.
Also, when taking focus away from Firefox and returning the cursor is
at the top of the virtual buffer, and not where it was when focus was
taken away from firefox.
If anyone is experiencing either of these problems and either knows the
solution or not please let me know, you may reply off list if you like.
Thanks,
Everett
